I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Steam is the gift that keeps on giving. If you’re a PC user, you should never really run out of games to play, seeing as there are so many free-to-play games on Steam. Seriously, they’re being added day after day in their droves. There truly is something for everyone.
In fact, a whopping15 free-to-play gems landed on Steam earlier today- and of course, we’re here to talk you through them. There’s a delightful new cosy sim in playtesting on the storefront, which issaid to be Steam’s answer to Animal Crossing. Today though, I’m here to tell you aboutNeonscape, Shire Scopes, Scholar’s Mate - First Move, andBongus Bright-eye & The Great Axe-stravaganza. What a line-up of titles.

First up, we have Kaitec Games’Neonscapein which you’ll play as Onyx, the master of the Black Lotus. This is a hack n’ slash combat game where you’ll “maneuver compact battlegrounds, unleash spatial manipulation, and showcase unmatched agility” as the waves of enemies relentlessly keep on coming. It has a very respectable review score of 85% with one review reading, “Gameplay is very engaging! Movement is very fluid (better than most AAA games i have played in the past),” while another said, “Installed the game thinking I can use this to kill some time for the lunch break, I was late to work and almost got yelled at.” High praise indeed.

LadderMane Games’Shire Scopesis a multiplayer arena shooter, set in a medieval castle. It’s not a gritty realistic shooter, instead boasting a colourfulBreath of the Wild-esque art style (although much simpler). You’ll be able to utilise sniper-muskets and swords in your attempts to reach the top of the leaderboard.
