Now before you jump to any conclusions or attempt to storm theNintendooffices for revenge, there is a silver lining.

While the old version of Pocket Camp is being removed from the app store, it was confirmed a new version of the app is on the way.

It won’t be the same obviously as it won’t receive any additional support, but your existing save data will be transferable so you can keep your camp going well past the app’s official closure.

More information on this new “paid” version will be shared towards the end of the year, sometime during October.

While Pocket Camp will survive, it’s still a sad occasion for fans of the series, but at least it won’t be gone for good.

In all likelihood, a new Animal Crossing game will surface for the Nintendo Switch 2, and hopefully it’ll be a good one as while the previous instalment was a saving grace during COVID, it still left a lot to be desired.
