Assassin’s Creed Black Flag free update adds highly-requested feature

Ubisoft has released free updates for some of its games, includingAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, introducing a highly-requested feature that players have been pleading for years.

Ubisoft releases updates for its games quite regularly, whether it’s bug fixes, gameplay overhauls, or new expansions.

It’s pretty common to see a lot of games get post-launch support nowadays, even those that are years old.

Now, the company has updated a bunch of its older titles with a feature that players have been requesting for years.

In addition to this,Assassin’s Creed Syndicatealso received an update in November.

Previously, achievements were only available via the Ubisoft Connect launcher, meaning earning those achievements would not show up on a player’s Steam profile.

However, manyPCgamers prefer to use the Steam client due to its functionality and number of features. So, Steam users having access to achievements for these games is something that has beenrequestedfor years.

“They also auto-sync if you already played AC IV (did not try Unity yet) on Ubisoft Connect,” another userconfirmed, meaning if you already earned them on the Ubisoft Connect app, the achievements will automatically pop for you when you launch it on Steam.

As of writing, it appears that there are still otherAssassin’s Creedgames on Steam that don’t have the achievements feature, which may upset achievement hunters.

We checked the other Steam pages, and it seems the first game, as well asAssassin’s Creed II,Brotherhood,Revelations,Assassin’s Creed III,Rogue,Liberation, andSyndicateare still missing the feature.

Ubisoft may add the feature to more of its games in the future, as it has been doing throughout the year.
