Assassin’s Creed Black Flag inspired game will be free for a limited time

So let’s face it, we may not be getting anAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flagremaster for a while but to make up for it, Ubisoft are giving players free access to their upcoming action-adventure game. Spoiler alert, it has pirates!

Announced way back in 2017,Skull and Boneswas hit with various delays which means its release coming seven years later is no surprise. Starting out its life as anAssassin’s CreedIV: Black Flagexpansion, it turned into an independent title which soon became infamous for its delays.

For many reasons including so that Ubisoft could create “a much more polished and balanced experience”,Skull and Bonesseemed as though it was never going to make it, but against all odds, it will release in just a few days. Before then however, it will enter an open beta which will run from 8 to 11 February.

According to aposton the official Ubisoft Twitter account, theSkull and Bonesopen beta will be free to play in America, Europe and Oceania & Asia with preloads also available a few days before. This will give players the opportunity to experience the game for the first time and give any feedback they may have.

Skull and Boneswill launch on 16 February for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Although it won’t be available on Steam, Ubisoft+ subscribers can play three days early.
