Back in July 2023, rumours were making the rounds thatAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flagwould be getting a remake, something that would surely be a welcomed addition to fans of the series.

This week,Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flagwasmysteriously pulled from sale from the Steam storeon PC. Apparently, this sparked rumours that Ubisoft is preparing for the speculative remake. Some have even gossiped that it was removed from sale in desperate hope of boosting sales of the yet-to-be-released and troubledSkull & Bones, a game which originally began life as an expansion toBlack Flag.
“We are aware thatAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flagis currently unavailable for purchase onSteam," said a Ubisoft rep. “This is due to a technical issue, and our teams are working on a solution to bring it back as soon as possible.”
So there you have it,Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flagwasn’t pulled from Steam in anticipation of the rumoured remake. That being said, hopefully, the game will return to the platform in the coming days.
