“If [Ubisoft] is really remakingBlack Flag, they better leave the OST alone,” Reddit user ValiantKnight666said. “Seriously[,] Brian Tyler is hella underrated (many of us won’t even know who he is). The OST is amazing (in my opinion, the best of the series). I still hum the Spanish Empire song randomly. [Ubisoft] can of course add more shanties accurate to the time period.”

Others feel the same: “Most of the music in that game is ingrained in my memory so I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Mountain_Sir2307wrote. “Brian Tyler made 2012-2013 for me. […] He is seriously underrated,” Ulysses3agreed. “I have ‘Billy Riley’ as my ringtone,”addedIchStrickeGerne.

Earlier this year, an officialBlack Flagsequel was released in the form ofAssassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple- a WEBTOON series following Edward Kenway’s story along the coasts of the Southeast Asian seas. I don’t think that it was the follow-up anyone was expecting, but it’s still pretty cool.
