
Ubisoft hasn’t had the easiest ride as of late.
Star WarsOutlawsis, if you ask me, a pretty decent game but yes, it has its flaws - and those flaws led to some rather underwhelming sales.

This highly anticipated instalment is set to finally take players to Feudal Japan, a location many have longed to explore for quite some time.
Recently though, the game waspushed back from its 15 November release datewithAssassin’s Creed Shadowsnow targeting a 14 February 2025 launch.
Developers hope that this will allow them to “polish and refine the experience”, presumably to avoid the game from replicatingOutlaws’ rather mediocre rollout.
Fair to say, Ubisoft could do with catching a break - as could fans of the studio.

Well, perhaps such an uptick is just around the corner. The long-rumouredAssassin’s Creed Black Flagremake is reportedly nearing completion.

While Ubisoft is yet to formally announce a remake of the belovedBlack Flag, such a project has been heavily rumoured for quite some time.

Now, Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson isclaimingthat the launch of the remake is much closer than we think.
Insider Gaming has taken this information from documentation sent to them “under the condition that it does not go public”.
This would supposedly coincide with the release of the franchise’s multiplayer instalment, codenamedInvictus.

It’s believed that Ubisoft is planning to launch around 10 Assassin’s Creed experiences in the next five years.
Some of those will be the console games we know and love, while others will be smaller experiences like the upcomingAssassin’s Creed Jadefor mobile - believed to be launching in Q2 2025.
In an internal email though to staff, Ubisoft’s Marc-Alexis Côte reportedly said thatShadows’ delay “will also impact the rest of the Assassin’s Creed roadmap”.
This could therefore mean thatBlack Flagis pushed beyond its November 2025 targeted launch window.

Even if it’s pushed into early 2026 though, this project is leaps and bounds ahead of where we all assumed.
