Several well-known Assassin’s Creed characters, locations and weapons have been transformed into a trading card format, making for powerful new additions to any player’s deck.

I actually went hands-on with some of these cards, including theEzio Auditoreones, at Summer Game Fest, and not only does the art look fantastic, they also seamlessly blend into the wider game and its existing monsters/characters.

Amongst the returning heroes besides Ezio are Connor Kenway,Edward Kenway, Lydia Fyre, Kassandra, and Basim amongst others.

Fans wereoverjoyedto see some of the new cards showed off before their release this year.

“I’m beyond excited for this!”

“This is so sick, I don’t even play MTG but I want these cards”

Also included are various weapons from the series like the hidden blade, and almost every assassin counts as an aerial attacker due to their ability to scale the nearest buildings and attack enemies from the air.

The entire set will consist of around 100 cards, and the good news is fans won’t have long to wait before they can start collecting them.

The Assassin’s Creed andMagic: The Gatheringcollaboration collection will launch later this year, on 5 July, and will be ideal for those who’ve been a fan of the card game for years as well as those first jumping into it.
