
Any Assassin’s Creed fan will attest that it’s nigh impossible to say precisely which is the best entry.
That being said, I think we can all agree thatAssassin’s CreedIV: Black Flagis easily up there amongst the best.
Released in 2013,Black Flagintroduced us to the unforgettable Edward Kenway - and it’s a darned shame that the game never received a major sequel.

I say ‘major sequel’ because technically,Black Flagdoes have a sequel. The webcomicAssassin’s Creed Black Flag: Forgotten Templesees Kenway journey to China following the events of the main game.

A while back, development footageleaked onlinedated to the period during the game’s development where it was internally known asGolden Age.

Some of this footage was captured three years prior to the game’s release, circa 2010, and yet still looks incredible.
As we all know, a lot can change during a game’s development and we should always take leaks with an air of indifference, reserving our judgement for the final released product.
It’s clear to see though thatBlack Flagalways had a clear vision, with early builds pretty closely resembling the final product that we ended up with in 2013.
“Cool to see,” one fanwrote. It’s always unpleasant when development footage leaks ahead of time.

Following release though, when we have the final product available to play, it’s oh so very interesting to go back and revisit development to see a game’s progression.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Redis the next game in line for release. It’s suspected thatUbisoftwill showcase the game in a few months time.
