Assassin’s Creed Hexe teaser promises ‘strong feminine energy’

There’s alotfor Assassin’s Creed fans to look forward to right now.Assassin’s Creed Miragemight be the obvious thing, but over the next few years, Ubisoft seems determined to give fans every game they’ve ever hoped for.

Perhaps the most obvious example isAssassin’s Creed: Codename Red. Although details are currently very light on the ground, we know that it’ll beset in feudal Japan - a setting which fans have been begging forfor years.Codename Jadeis incredibly exciting too, as it’ll be set in ancient China. Perhaps most intriguing of all though isCodename Hexe- whileUbisoftis yet to reveal much about it at all, the rumours surrounding it promise a truly one-of-a-kindAssassin’s Creedtitle.

Areportfrom Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier previously claimed thatHexetakes place in the Holy Roman Empire and centres around witch trials, which, if true, is a brilliant concept. This rumour has prompted fans towonder whether we might be getting a female protagonist- after all, it’d make alotof sense given the setting.

One comment on the post stated: “My hype for this game cannot be overstated. I hope it has some strong feminine energy!” To this, Tabbara reportedly replied: “In MANY ways, it DOES.”

While this doesn’t directly confirm a female protagonist, the dream is definitely still alive. We’ll just have to watch this space.
