They refer to the 21st century as “ancient history”, further touching on a “shift” that took place. Typically, we see AC games flash to our present day, but it looks as if what we know as present day is about to become ancient history. Take a look below.
Ubisoft is yet to fully revealCodename Hexewhich could explain why this scene was cut. Perhaps they want to keep an air of mystery for a little while longer. Do take all theories with a pinch of salt, but I think it would be refreshing for the series to explore a new direction like this.
