Middle-earth: Shadow of Warcurrently sits at a ‘very positive’ rating onSteamwith many players saying the sequel was better than its predecessor as it has “more customisation, skills, items and gems” and the combat is “vicious”.
One reviewer admits to loving it, saying: “What a great game, tons to do, big open world maps to explore, LOTS of bloody fights with the orcs, good leveling system and skills. Played on both Steam Deck andPCflawlessly, Loved it.”

“Everything about this game outdoes the first, and with the expanded Nemesis System, superb combat, and epic story, you’ll be immersed for a long time,” claimed God is a Geek. However, one player was unhappy with the game’s use of microtransactions: “Ignoring the apparent micro-transaction controversy, I found this game clunky and unconvincing. The stealth mode wasn’t at all intuitive, and the mechanics of the takedowns and combat just felt awkward.”
