If you’re a fan of bothSkyrimand the Assassin’s Creed franchise, you may want to keep an eye onThe Golden Horde, a brand new Unreal Engine 5 open-world RPG that’s currently in development.
While I happen to adoreStarfield, I can simultaneously understand why it might not scratch the itch of diehardSkyrimfans - and let’s face it,The Elder Scrolls VIis years away from completion. On the other hand,Assassin’s Creedfans are swimming in content. BothAssassin’s Creed MirageandAssassin’s Creed Nexusrecently released to positive reviews, and the highly-anticipatedCodename Redlands next year. As the final RPG instalment, the game will take fans to Feudal Japan. If you’re just craving more RPG goodness, then take a look atThe Golden Horde.
Speaking ofStarfield, it has made for some excellent wins and fails.

The synopsis reads, “You will find yourself in the centre of political intrigues in the Mongol Empire of 1250. And it’s only up to your will whether you help the oppressed Turks to throw off their invaders or lead a punitive Mongol expedition.” To date, there are 76 square kilometres of game world, four possible endings, and 99 random in-game events. Intriguing.
The combat system includes melee weapons and bows, plus there will be reputation-based choices to make affecting the outcome of the story. The story promises “conspiracies and betrayals” plus there’s a skill tree and an “original horse development system”. We can’t wait to hear more.
