Assassin’s Creed Nebula appears online, Aztec setting teased

Over the next few years we’re set to get more Assassin’s Creed than we can shake a hidden blade at, and it sounds like there’s even more coming that we don’t currently officially know about.

If for some reason none of these games appeal to you, it sounds like Ubisoft is planning another huge open-world Assassin’s Creed that’ll take us all the way back to the days of the mighty Aztec Empire.

Assassin’s Creed Nebulais rumoured to be another standard single-player adventure, rather than a spinoff or VR experiment. Very little is known about the project, but Insider Gaming’s Tom Hendersonleakedthat the game will have three different settings, which would make it one of the larger Assassin’s Creed adventures.

Henderson claimsNebulawill take players across India, the Aztec Empire, and around the Mediterranean. Quite how this will work remains to be seen, but the ancient and all-powerful Isu seem like a natural fit to explore the mysteries surrounding the Aztecs and their considerable innovations.

It’s also been reported that aremake of fan-favouriteAssassin’s Creed Black Flagis in development, although it’s very early days for this project, too. Clearly we’re going to be snowed under with Assassin’s Creed for the foreseeable, so let’s hope Ubisoft can keep the quality consistent. An Aztec adventure is something fans have wanted for a while, so it’d be a shame to see it end up a missed opportunity.
