Assassin’s Creed Nebula’s multiple locations suggest the biggest AC we’ve ever seen

The future looks bright for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, with the upcomingAssassin’s Creed Nebulapossibly being one of largest entries we’ve seen to date.

Last year’sAssassin’s CreedMiragetook the franchise back to its stealth-based roots while this year’sCodename Redwill mark a return to the RPG formula. The latter style of entry hasn’t always been the most popular format with fans butCodename Reddoes boast a promising premise. The game will take us to Feudal Japan and is believed to star dual protagonists, a male samurai and a female shinobi with the samurai possibly basedon the real life figure of Yasuke. PresumablyUbisoftwill hold their annual Ubisoft Forward later this summer, likely offering us our first full glimpse at the project, but it’s far from the only Assassin’s Creed entry in the pipeline.

Take a look at the teaser trailer forCodename Redbelow.

Elsewhere, the report mentions theBlack Flagremake, codenamedObsidian, the free-to-play co-op entryRaid, multiplayer titleEchoes, and another unknown remake. That’s alongside the presumed releases ofCodename Redthis year, multiplayerInvictusin 2025, andCodename Hexein 2026 which are understandably further along in the development process compared to some of the other projects mentioned here.

The report largely focuses onAssassin’s Creed Infinity, a new hub that’s in the works from which players will launch future entries. It’s believed this hub will also feature an item shop and purchasable battle passes adding opportunities into games to win extra cosmetic rewards. It certainly sounds as if Ubisoft has a lot to tell us about.
