There are plenty of opinions I could give about Assassin’s Creed that would earn me a lot of backlash from the fandom, but saying that ‘Assassin’s Creed Origins: Rebirth’ is an exceptionally beautiful mod isn’t one of them.
I’ll admit, I’m quite the vanilla player when it comes to mods – it’s not that I don’t like them, just I’m too lazy to install/download different files and software more often than not. However, there are times when I will make exceptions, and this NexusMods banger is one of them. Not because it completely rehauls the gameplay or story, but because it offers a simple reshade to give the game a natural, more realistic palette.

What makes this particular mod even more impressive, at least in my humble opinion, is the fact it also works well withAC Valhalla. “Works amazingly with Valhalla as well,” exclaimed one extremely excited gamer over on the mod page (seriously, they seem pretty darn stoked). As we all know,AC Valhalla, while a decent RPG outing, is easily theweakest of the AC franchise. However, while it’s not your typical AC title, it has always looked fantastic, so to know it can look even more stunning is a feature I will be investigating thoroughly.
AC Originshas been praised for “saving the franchise”, a statement that I wholeheartedly agree with, so to see it so carefully and considerately reshaded so that its colours shine like new is a gift that truly keeps on giving.
