Assassin’s Creed publisher announces major free download

It was announced during The Game Awards that the newPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown game from Ubisoft will be available to play and try out with a demo released on 11 January 2024.

The latest instalment in thePrince of Persiafranchise is a return to the 2D side-scrolling formula that made the game famous, while this time around expanding the design into the MetroidVania genre bringing it toPlayStation 5andXboxSeries consoles.

Prince of Persiahas a storied history stretching back to 1989 where it debuted on home computers before being ported to over 20 systems. Created to give players a sense of playing as Indiana Jones, the original game was a huge success and spawned several sequels.

The free demo will allow players to get a taste of the new game before the full release. The full game will be released 18 January for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store.
