It’s only February, but it already feels like there’s not enough hours in the day to play through every new release. Not that we wish to complain, especially when such a long anticipated game is available to download.
Free for a limited time, Ubisoft’sSkull and Bonesis hoping to monopolise on the enormous success ofAssassin’s CreedIV: Black Flag. Many are doubtful it can achieve such heights, but there’s no escaping the familiaritySkull and Bonesevokes thanks to its swashbuckling setting.

It’s finally here –Skull and Bonesis making waves with its launch trailer
You may remember that back in October 2023, I covered the news that this new Ubisoft adventure had beendelayed yet again, bringing its tally to five delays since its reveal in total. As you can expect, most excited fans that did exist back when it was first announced have lost interest waiting for the game to drop.
Perhaps this is why such a major game from a renowned publisher is free: to entice gamers back to the fold. Interestingly, the Reddit post that appeared to alert gamers to the news has been locked, seemingly hinting thatUbisoftis aware of the potential backlash it could face.

At GAMINGbible, we’re not expecting much given how little we really know about the game, and the fact it lacks a lot of what madeBlack Flagso great. Still, it’s easy to overlook andunderappreciate a game, as AC fans are admitting as they reflect on the merits ofAC Valhalla.
It’s still early doors forSkull and Bones; as much as we’d love to see this game pull a 170 on us likeCyberpunk 2077did, the chances are incredibly slim. However, if you want to score the game for free, you can do so from today.
