Assassin’s Creed Codename Redis set to launch later this year and it looks as if it’ll massively improve one ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s best features.
While last year’sAssassin’s CreedMiragetook the franchise back to its roots,Codename Redwill mark a return to the RPG formula.
These RPG entries have always caused contention amongst fans, with certain instalments criticised for being too bloated.

Valhallais perhaps one of the worst offenders for this.According toHow Long To Beat, it could take you 145 hours to reach full completion of the game.
In contrast, last year’s stealth-basedMiragecan be fully completed in closer to 30 hours.
That’s not to say thatCodename Redwill follow exactly inValhalla’s footsteps but I think it’s fair to say that we should expect a larger game thanMirage.
There is one feature thatCodename Redwill lift fromValhalla- and that’s the ability to build a settlement.

At their Hideout, it’s believed players will be able to create an armoury, dojo, altar, and more.
Insider Gaming goes on to add that buildings will be customisable in almost every way, from where they are located to the roof design and interior layout.
Players will also be able to reportedly display their armour and weapons.
It’s assumed thatCodename Redwill follow the pattern ofMirage’s reveal, with an initial trailer dropped during this summer’s Ubisoft Forward ahead of an end of year release.

This is more of an educated guess than confirmation though. Likewise, it’s believed thatCodename Redwill see us assume the roles of two protagonists: a male samurai and a female shinobi.
The male samurai is possibly based on the real life figure of Yasuke.
As always, do take all leaks with a pinch of salt but it sure does look like Ubisoft is cooking up something quite special.
