Assassin’s Creed Red Unreal Engine 5 trailer shows off stunning open-world Japan

WithAssassin’s Creed Codename Redcurrently in development, one Youtuber and video creator has produced a trailer that could give the official one a run for its money.

Ubisoftis currently hard at work with the next few instalments in theAssassin’s Creedseries. WithAssassin’s Creed: Miragearriving on 5 October, the studio is also reportedly working onAssassin’s Creed Nexus VR, Infinity, Codename Hexe, Codename JadeandInvictus.As you can see, it is currently up to their eyeballs in projects but one more has been added to the mix –Codename Red.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Redwill be set in feudal Japan and will allow players to live out their “very powerful shinobi fantasy”. With a release date to be confirmed, one fan, TeaserPlay has imagined what theRedtrailercould look like. Using the power of Unreal Engine 5, their aim was to imagine what the game could look like with next-gen graphics. Safe to say, it looks stunning.

The trailer starts with a rendition of Ezio’s Family which was the main soundtrack ofAssassin’s Creed 2but this time it has an authentic Japanese take to it. What follows is a series of panning images showing the scenery of an imagined feudal Japan. We see temples framed with sakura trees, torii gates framing ancient buildings and finally, our assassin walking through built-up streets and standing on mountainsides overlooking the valleys below.
