Since the series inception in 2007, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed has taken us to many places across Africa, Europe, America and Asia, and with historical events open to interpretation, the stories that can be told are seemingly endless.
One of the most popular entries in theUbisoftseries is 2018’sAssassin’s Creed Odyssey, which some consider to be thebest of the RPG trilogy.Assassin’s Creed Odysseyis set in ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta and gives players the choice of two playable characters, twins Alexios andKassandra.

One of the biggest assets ofAssassin’s Creed Odysseyis its huge open world map, however, a fan on Reddit has surpassed its size with the concept of ‘Assassin’s Creed Roman Empire’.

To say that this map is huge would be an understatement and if this concept ever became a reality it would be fair to say that it would become Ubisoft’s largest-ever game. Sadly, it’s unlikely that we’ll get anAssassin’s Creedgame to this scale anytime soon but we can at least dream.

“This is a neat idea, but this map would either have to be almost comically scaled down (mainland Greece turning into a little itty bitty Peninsula island) or absurdly large to the point that no computer or console could ever store it,” explained Froggen-The-Frog. “It should take 6 hours real-time to auto-ride your mount from Rome to Athens,” replied Heyyoguy123.
“This is a fantastic mock-up, no questions about it. It even looks official, since you went out of your way to replicate the in-game elements with great accuracy,” rejoiced BrunoHM. “I love the concept but this would be an amazing way to turn a console into a nuke,” GecaZ jokingly warned.
We may never play ‘Assassin’s Creed Roman Empire’ but at least we can playAssassin’s Creed Odysseyon PC, PlayStation and Xbox, right now. Go play it already, it’s a great game.
