Sometimes when a game releases to a negative perception it eventually makes a comeback once the disappointment dies down. They’re often labelled underrated or not as bad as originally made out to be. UnfortunatelyAssassin’s Creed Valhallahasn’t received this treatment and is still considered to be one of the worstAssassin’s Creedgames ever made.

ThenAssassin’s Creed Valhallarolled around, with an open world far too big to be fun, hardly anything to see or do and possibly the weakest traversal ever. The DLC was pretty good though.
Fans are still reluctant to give the game a break, with a new player voicing their opinion on Reddit, sayingit “feels so different” to the other games and not in a good way.
One player agreed, saying “There is something about it that lacks charm to me. Odyssey had such a playful nature to it whether you played as Kassandra or Alexios It was great.”
Another complained: “Not sure why Ubisoft feels the need to continue making fantastic open world adventure games, then trying to shoehorn them into the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Make it shorter and it could have been an extraordinary Viking story.”
