This is why it surprised the masses whenDisneyandMarveldecided tobring back Robert Downey Jr to the MCU- not as Iron Man though, but instead as the Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom. Now, it seems Chris Evans may be getting the same treatment.

It’s not known in what capacity Chris Evans will return inAvengers: Doomsday. He could return as Captain America or much like Robert Downey Jr., it could be a different character entirely, perhaps as a villain.

Of course, he could simply feature in a flashback scene as Captain America, but if Chris Evans were to return as a villain, there are other intriguing characters he could play in the world of the Fantastic Four.

If I were to take a single guess, my money would be on the villain known as the Maker, a master manipulator and a multiverse version of the Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards.

These rumours are unconfirmed at this time, so we should take the reports with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, hopefully, Marvel and Disney will let the proverbial cat out of the bag in the coming months.
