Marvel fans are in for an exciting few years withAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warsexpected to hit cinemas in 2026 and 2027, respectively.
However, as the first Avengersmoviesince 2019’sAvengers: Endgame,it is safe to say thatDoomsdaywill have a lot to live up to, especially as it will be the first time that we meet our brand-new team of superheroes.

Set to hit cinemas on 1 May, 2026, filming forAvengers: Doomsdayis expected to start in Spring 2025 and so its plot and a vast majority of its cast still remains a mystery.

What we do know is that Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to theMCUbut this time he will be taking on the role of Doctor Doom as opposed to the beloved Tony Stark/Iron Man.
We also know that the Russo brothers will be returning asDoomsday’s directors and so we can expect the same level of quality as the previous Avengers movies.
Now, according to a recent Q&A withMarvelinsider Alex Perez, we have an idea of some of the other characters we may see in this highly-anticipated movie.

We also know that the brand-new Fantastic Four team will reportedly make an appearance in the next Avengers entry but according to Perez, fans should also make sure to watchCaptain America: Brave New Worldbefore watchingDoomsday.
“Definitely would recommend watching those two films prior toAvengers: Doomsday,” he confirmed.

It is looking likeAvengers: Doomsdaywill feature quite an expansive cast but with the movie not expected for just under two-years, we still have a bit longer to wait.
