TheSecret Warsstoryline is massive, spanning several characters, many of which have already been established inDisney’sMarvel Cinematic Universe. Obviously some creative liberties are to be taken to adapt it to the big-screen, but the core storyline will likely stay the same, meaning it’ll need a decent run-time to tell the whole story.
Unfortunately, planning for the next Avengers film has had a spanner thrown in its works. The current phase of the MCU was positioning the time-travelling space warrior Kang The Conqueror as its next big bad, but the actor playing him, Jonathan Majors, has reportedlybeen axed following recent criminal charges.
This leaves the franchise in a bit of a predicament, with the only options being torecastMajors and continue Kang’s story, or pivot to a new villain, like Doctor Doom.
One of the upcoming Avengers films was to be calledAvengers: The Kang Dynasty, but has supposedly beenrenamed toAvengers 5, seemingly hinting a major change to the planned story.
