Baldur’s Gate 3 has a hidden two-hour section that nobody knows about

A member ofBaldur’s Gate 3’smain cast recently revealed that their character was part of “two hours of content” that nobody else knew about.

WithBaldur’s Gate 3still being the main reason nobody has left the house this month, fans are desperate to explore as much of the game as they possibly can. With a three-part story as well as multiple side quests and hidden details, it’s not surprising that players are heading into the hundreds in their ‘hours played’.

Thanks to Astarion actor Neil Newbon, these hours almost got doubled after he hinted at “two hours of content” that was supposedly near impossible to find. The actorrevealed thisduring a recent Twitch livestream and since then fans have been on the lookout for what it could be. Luckily, since this bombshell was dropped on August 31, the mystery has been solved thanks to Larian Studio itself.

In an email sent toGamesRadar+, Larian explains that the content Newbon was referring to was the Rosymorn Monastery sequence. It is here you find a legendary weapon and if you’re not too careful, can also cause Astarion’s death which he is not too happy about upon being revived.

“There’s a quest off the beaten path at the Rosymorn Monastery that rewards you with a nice mace called the Blood of Lathander. If you’re not careful or you try to steal the mace, you may activate a terrifying solar weapon.

“If you (intentionally or unintentionally) kill Astarion with this solar weapon and then revive him once you’re back at camp, he… will have some choice words for you,” the dev explains.
