PC players will soon be able to select a new playable race inBaldur’s Gate 3thanks to one Dungeons & Dragons fan who’s been hard at work on a new mod.
Baldur’s Gate 3scooped up the Game of the Year trophy at 2023’s The Game Awards, and deservedly so. It’s a fantastic game that continues to delight its players. Inour review, we ratedBaldur’s Gate 3a perfect 10, writing, “I have gleefully joined the ranks ofBaldur’s Gate 3’s evangelical, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In a year groaning under the weight of so many exemplary games, it is frankly astounding to me how much tallerBaldur’s Gate 3looms over the rest of the pack. I’m not sure we’ll ever see anything quite like it again.”

The modder took to the site toannounce the project. Now, anyone who’s played Dungeons & Dragons will know that this particular character race didn’t make it intoBaldur’s Gate 3. However, that’ll soon change thanks to cobalt_owl who’s said that, so far, they’ve made a male “caracal-inspired skin”, adding that the mod will include race-specific abilities. The female version of the skin remains in development.
The OP advises that you can follow their progress overon Patreon. Already, there’s been a very positive reception to this. “Oh, this looks great.
