Not everyone has been included in the fun though, asPlayStationfans have been patiently waiting for their PS5 port of the game, which releases on the 6th of September, as haveXboxfans, though the latter will unfortunately have to wait even longer.

TheBaldur’s Gate 3developer, Larian Studios, does have an Xbox version on the way, but it was severely delayed duo to difficulties getting some of the features working on the Xbox Series S. Due toMicrosoft’s parity agreement, a game released on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S must have the same features across both versions, though the company has made an exception forBaldur’s Gate 3. The caveat to getting the game on the platform is it’ll launchwithout split-screen on the Series S.

Speaking with IGN,Baldur’s Gate 3director Swen Vincke has confirmed the port is aiming for release somewhere between September and November, with no exact release date given. This is due to the team focussing its efforts onupcoming updates/patchesfor the PC and PS5 versions of the game, though Vincke did say “the Xbox Series X version was already in good shape last time [he] looked at it.”
