Of course, Rocksteady Studios’ most recent game isSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a live-service multiplayer game that was only released in February 2024 but already it seems to be on life support.

Ironically, some fans have speculated thatSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguecould be the end of Rocksteady Studios, but that seems a bit far-fetched at this stage, especially when there seem to be more Batman Arkham games on the way.

Before its release,Warner Bros.and Rocksteady Studios labelledSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueas being set in the Arkhamverse and perhaps that is true. But I can’t help but think it was just a tactic to lure in fans under a false pretence.

Franchises such asHogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat and even Game of Thrones were mentioned but so too were DC properties such as Batman. No specifics were mentioned on what kind of Batman games we’ll be getting or who will be developing them.

We could end up getting more VR games or maybe WB Games Montréal might develop a new Arkham game, who had previously developedBatman: Arkham OriginsandGotham Knights.

However, I really hope that Rocksteady Studios gets another crack at Catwomen’s whip with the Arkham series because it would be a damn shame ifSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueis the hill that it dies on.
