As an audience, we’re in our villain loving era;Agatha All Along, The Penguin, Joker: Folie à Deuxall prove that we’re curious about the lives of villains beyond them being the antagonists of the plot.

That said, such a creative move isn’t without its pitfalls.

As we’re seeing from the critics' reviews ofJoker: Folie à Deux, some stories are best left alone.

“I’ll watch but I’ve always thought villain centric movies were odd,”saidFun-Bag7627 during one of many Reddit discussions about the movie.

The concern, at least for someBatmanfans, is thatSonywon’t get it right when planning the narrative that would see these two villains team up together.

“I guess Warner sees money on using villains. Joker made a billion, so they think why not? Which raises the question: have these two ever teamed up in the comics? I feel this should have happened a long time ago,”postedElementalSaber.

On the flip side of this, there’s just as many fans excited about this project as there are naysayers.

“Goddamn that would be so f**king cool. And it would continue to help set apartBrave and The Boldfrom other Batman movies and specifically Reeves Crime Saga,” argued FlamingPanda77.

Fans have time to be undecided about this film because it’s such a long way off releasing.

Still, while we won’t see such a partnership on-screen for a few years yet, that won’t stop fans arguing about the pros and cons of said partnership.
