Batman and Robin: Year One #1sees Batman take Damian Wayne on his first patrol as Robin, and as you’d expect, the pair quickly get into trouble.
It’s revealed in the comic that Batman takes Damian out to fight crime because his skills would be valuable to the innocent people in Gotham, but also because it’ll help teach him how to control his anger and be a hero, not a weapon.
Fans will know that this is the exact same reason why he adopted Dick Grayson, as Dick’s parents were murdered in the same way Bruce’s were, and without Bruce’s interference, Dick could have grown-up to be just as cold and vengeful as the Batman is.
