Bayek hailed as the best Assassin’s Creed protagonist, even better than Ezio

Now I’m aware that might be a tough pill to swallow, given how Ezio Auditore is essentially the poster child for theAssassin’s Creedseries withseveral “peak” gamesunder his belt. He’s overwhelmingly popular, sometimes considered to be one of thegreatest video game characters of all time, with none coming close to that title until now.

Recently a fan of the series, Luck_Shot on Reddit, wanted to know if “OriginsandOdysseyare as tedious and repetitive as Valhalla.” Collectively named the RPG trilogy, it’s usually said thatAssassin’s Creed Valhallais unfortunatelythe worst game in the series,Assassin’s Creed Odysseyis pretty good if not a bit bloated, andAssassin’s Creed Originsis the best.

Responses to thepostsupported this, though it kicked off another thread stating the protagonist ofAssassin’s Creed Origins, Bayek, is the greatest protagonist in the series.

Others agreed, and while many called Ezio a close second, if not an equal, many believed Bayek is just that little bit better in terms of personality and story.

One said “Bayek was a great assassin protagonist … Best since Ezio in my opinion.”

Finally someone pointed out what a shame it was that wenever saw a continuation of Bayek’s story, saying “If I were to say best protagonist based on first game only, I’d say it’s pretty close between Ezio and Bayek with the latter slightly coming out on top … It’s criminal that Bayek didn’t get a sequel.”

Let’s be honest, the best protagonist isn’t Bayek or Ezio, it’s Edward Kenway and I won’t be told otherwise.
