After the launch ofBioShock Infinite, series creator Ken Levine announced that it would be Irrational Games’ latest BioShock game.
The franchise’s rights have been with 2K Games ever since with the company adamant that the series would continue.
The series was passed over to 2K Marin but then that studio was reportedly closed. It then spent a brief time in the hands of the third-party Certain Affinity before 2K brought development back in-house.
In 2019, we then discovered that new studio Cloud Chamber would be heading up the project but we’ve heard very little since.
