Very few new IPs have made an impact quite like 2007’sBioShockfrom Irrational Games and to this day, fans still return to the tormented underwater utopia known as Rapture.

Without giving too much away,BioShockalso features one of the most iconic moments of storytelling in video game history. Like seriously, if you’ve not played the originalBioShockand its two sequels, all three need to be added to your to-do list now.
It’s been a long time since we’ve been treated to a new game in this series with the last being 2013’sBioShock Infinite. Thankfully, there is not onlyBioShock 4on the way but also a game that is considered to be a spiritual successor,Judasfrom the creator of the series, Ken Levine, the latter of which is expected in 2025.
UntilBioShock 4andJudasarrive, what better way than to pass the time than with the original game that started it all? Well, technically,System Shockis where it kinda began with it beingBioShock’sinspiration but you get what I mean.

To be more exact, ‘BioShock Remastered - HD Texture Pack’ is only compatible with the PC version of the game but if you play this version, you can download the meaty 5GB file that overhauls the game with over 2,300 textures making this cult classic look better than ever.
This fan-made remaster will be an absolute joy to fans of the series because as much of a great game as the original is, the 2016BioShockremaster, as well as its two sequels, wasn’t the best remaster as it still contained some fairly low-res textures. Thankfully, FCH823 is doing the work of the gaming goods and gives us theBioShockremaster we should have gotten nearly a decade ago.
