Call of Duty Black Ops 6players believe the Double XP they’re earning in the current event is bugged, and they’re unhappy about it.
Treyarchlikes to run Double XP events inCall of Dutyfrom time to time. After all, there are a lot of unlocks to earn in-game, and so little time to do it all.
So, a Double XP event helps bring players back and get them quickly levelling up their weapons with the additional bonuses active.

However, following reports that Treyarch hadreduced score gains for certain scorestreaks, it seems XP is also not working for the ongoing Double XP weekend inBlack Ops 6.

Posting on Reddit yesterday, user ‘contact-lights’ reported earning a lower rate of XP compared to what they should be getting.

“I’ve been playing a lot of the day yesterday and this morning,” theywrotein a post on theBlack Ops 6subreddit. “As soon as Double XP started, it seems like I’m actually getting half of the regular XP amount- thus double XP equates to my regular earn rate.”
“I agree,” one of therepliessays. “40+ kill games while playing objective and it’s saying I’m only getting 8k total which would be 4k with no 2xp. Feels like they halved it again.”

Since then,more postshave cropped up on theBlack Ops 6subreddit confirming Double XP doesn’t work as intended. It seems Treyarch has still not fixed the issue, as players arealso reportingthe same happening today.
Treyarch last ran a Double XP event nearly a month ago, just after the game launched. Players were also reporting issues earning XP then too, meaning this has now happened for two events in a row.
Given how much hype is put behind these kinds of events, as well as the influx of players it brings back to the game, it’s understandable why players might be upset at not seeing any gains from this.
