Call Of DutyZombies is arguably one of the best parts about the series, and while the latest iterations haven’t quitelived up to their predecessors in terms of imagination and innovation, it’s still popular enough to sell copies of new games.

In case you weren’t aware, inCall Of Duty: World At War, on the Der Riese map, if you look closely at the moon you could see mysterious lights in one of the craters. This prompted some iceberg discussions within the community at the time, with many believing it was foreshadowing a future map that’d take players to the moon itself. It was regularly dismissed as either a ridiculous theory or wishful thinking until it eventually appeared inCall Of Duty: Black Ops.

Nowadays, you’d be hard-pressed to find a decent Easter Egg in a Zombies iteration, and fans know it, as one said: “WaW-BO1era Zombies was so dope, it had mystique, fun gameplay, was actually scary, good mysterious story, easter eggs, soundtrack. Zombies was more popular than the story modes or multiplayer at one point.”

That being said,Call Of Duty:Modern WarfareIIIZombies aims to make the mode open world, which might be the switch-up it needs to pique player interest again.
