Running from 1998 to 2003,Buffy the Vampire Slayerwas the vampire show the majority of us grew up watching before the days ofTwilight.Now it seems as though the story is set to continue thanks to a new Audible sequel series.
Running for five years and spanning 144 episodes,Buffy the Vampire Slayertold the story of Buffy Summers who must juggle being a normal high school student and becoming the vampire and demon hunter she was always meant to be. With the news that it was coming to an end in 2003, fans all over the world were heartbroken and despite a reboot being announced in 2018, it soon ceased development in 2022.

Although we could see aBuffy the Vampire Slayerrevival in the future, for now we will have to get our fix thanks to the newAudible sequel series,Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.Announcedon the official AudibleTwitteraccount with the tagline, ‘Old friends. Even older enemies’, the series will feature some old characters including Spike, Giles and Cordelia as well as newcomer, Indira Nunnally. Taking place around a decade after the final events of the show, the supernatural series will take place in an alternative universe where Cordelia is the “one and only slayer”.
