Call Of Duty 2 gets eye-watering Unreal Engine 5 remake

For 20 years, the Call of Duty franchise has been a leader of the first-person shooter genre with no signs of slowing down. Well, that is perhaps until the arrival ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Back when the firstCall of Dutyarrived in 2003, it was a much simpler time. The first three games in the series were set during WWII, so that meant no fancy weapons, gadgets or wall-running. It really was a case of shooting anything that moves, and it was certainly a lot of fun. It was also a time when microtransactions were pretty much non-existent, other than expansions or the odd map pack that we may have wanted to purchase. Ah, the good old days.
