The newCall Of Duty-Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3- has not exactly gotten off to the best start. From the fact the gamedoesn’t appear to have a Platinum Trophyto themyriad of issues accessing the game over the weekend, fans are seriously unhappy that they’ve been asked to pay full price for what was clearly always intended to be DLC for last year’sModern Warfare 2. The fact the campaign clocks in at just over four hours doesn’t help much, either.

It’s important to note thatModern Warfare 3is currently only open to those who paid for the early access, but that’s enough players currently incredibly annoyed at Activision. Usually these frustrations would manifest in the form of scathing review scores on Metacritic. The issue is thatModern Warfare 3isn’t actually out till 10 November, meaning critic and user scores are currently unavailable to post. The2011Modern Warfare 3Metacritic page still exists, however, and it appears to have caused some confusion between angry fans.
At the time of writing the 2011Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s user score has plummeted to 3.5, with new reviews specifically calling out issues from the 2023 game.

Based on what we’re seeing here, it’s unlikely the 2023 version’s user score will be any kinder on Metacritic. Guess we’ll find out in a few days.
