Sometimes there’s no pleasing the internet masses, and passionate communities rarely hesitate to let feelings be known, especially when it comes to Call of Duty.
While it hasn’t been officially revealed yet, it’s one of the worst-kept secrets in recent months that this year will see the release ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare III, a sequel to the reboot that that launched in 2019.
Check out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reveal trailer below!
Originally, it was reported thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare IIIwould be an expansiontoMWII, but it soon evolved into itsown standalone release. Hopefully, that aspect will please fans, because the originalMW3from 2011 is a fan favourite, especially when it comes to its multiplayer offerings.

“Absolutely absurd that this is a full retail game,” exclaimed DaftNeal88. “This sh** was supposed to be DLC forMWII,” replied BNS0. What’s more, some fans are even unhappy with the leaked artwork. “I don’t like it, looks like they are trying too hard to be edgy,” said MrDayvs. “It looks like a logo for a knockoff iOS app,” added SimpleDose.
At the end of the day, whether we like a piece of artwork is subjective to the individual. That being said, even ifModern WarfareIIIstarted its life as an expansion, if it commands a full RRP and still offers the same level of content as the two previously released MW games, hopefully, it will be enough to please fans. However, if it’s a much-streamlined experience and still commands a full RRP, then that is something else entirely.
In other Call of Duty news, following recent rumours, bothNicki Minaj and Snoop Dogghave been confirmed as playable Operators inWarzone, and the OGModern Warfare 2servers havebeen pulled offlinethanks to pesky hackers.
At this time, we do not have a release date forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare III, but it is expected to release this year for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
