TheMW3beta on its own is set to take up 24GB according to a recent report. However, the beta isn’t its own game - you will need to download the main client which serves the entire game.CharlieIntel over on X, formally Twitter, has given players a warning to download the Call of Duty HQ base file, which is 100GB.

Yep, you read that right. Just to take part in the beta, you’ll need around 125GB of free storage. This won’t be an issue if you already play CoD on the regular, as you’ll have the files needed for the beta, already installed. The Call of Duty HQ hub officially launched 30 September and sets “Call of Duty” as your main game, instead of the individual titles. This allows players to download the content they need for what they want to play.

This massive file size is a sign of what’s to come as we wouldn’t be surprised if the final game takes up another chunk of space. Thankfully you should still be able to select what you want to play, so once you’re done with the campaign, you can uninstall that section of content.
