Call Of Duty’s next single-player campaign will reportedly be open world, for the first time in the series’ history.

Call Of Duty’stimeline is a messy thing. Games jump from far in the future, to the past, the modern day and back again, though the next entryCall Of Duty: Black Ops Gulf Warwill once again put players into a historical conflict.

It remains to be seen what fans think about this change to the single-player, as many disliked the changesCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3made to the series formula, seemingly preferring more linear missions as opposed to open-ended ones.
