I don’t think it should be ignored that the developer behind this new horror game is called Hamster Cafe. I can’t think of many things cuter than hamsters running around a little cafe, drinking their silly little coffees. So, it’s odd that the game coming from this studio is giving some proper gnarly vibes. A strange juxtaposition that made me giggle.
Despite the hamsters,Lumina Veilis doing its best to bring those classicResident EvilandSilent Hillmoods, all built up throughUnreal Engine 5, giving it a shiny sheen and making the blood more viscous.
Silent Hill 2 is getting a remake and it’s coming soon, so prepare to get spooked
To be fair, there is more than the developer’s name that gave me a chuckle; the plot ofLumina Veilis delightfully preposterous. Here it is from the devs themselves, “Step into the shoes of a popular streamer on a journey into a strange new game. As you dive deeper, you’ll find yourself escaping the isolation of your own world, only to discover that the lines between fantasy and reality are beginning to blur.”

I can’t think of anything more horrible than stepping into the shoes of a popular streamer. I jest, of course, I’d love their money. And I do actually like the idea of a streamer wanting to try out a new horror game and then being sucked into this weird world and monsters and gore. It’s certainly different. It sounds like it’ll be almostPersona-like with you leading a double life, a streamer in part, and living a normal life away from your computer, where the horror starts to bleed through.
