Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless Headset review: A Call of Duty essential

It’s no secret that the Call of Duty series has a massive and devoted fan base, always eager to welcome everything that the series has to offer with open arms.

Check out the HS80 RGB Wireless Headset trailer below!

Designed forPC,PlayStation, and mobile, the HS80Black Ops 6Edition not only looks the part with its sleek black design and official artwork on each ear cup, but it also helps to give you an advantage when gaming online. That being said, it won’t compensate for lack of skill, so don’t expect this headset to be an instant game changer.

Corsair says that this headset can last up to 20 hours before needing a recharge. That can depend on your volume settings and I would say that I got at least 15 hours before my OCD compelled me to plug in the headset for some much-needed juice.

The HS80 RGB Wireless Gaming Headset is very comfortable to wear and after using it for roughly two-hours at a time, I never encountered the weird sensation of my ears feeling warm, something that I’ve had with other headsets. This could be due to the larger cup size and its comfortable memory foam cushions with breathable cloth.

Furthermore, this is exclusively a wireless headset and does not feature an audio jack. Having a wired option is always welcome but being purely wireless is a sign of the current times.

At £149.99, theBlack Ops 6Edition doesn’t come cheap but it’s a standard price for a headset of its quality. I firmly believe that when it comes to audio, you pay for what you get and if you decide to pick up the HS80 RGB Wireless Gaming Headset, especially as a Call of Duty fan, it’s a purchase you won’t regret.
