Cyberpunk 2077 collides with Tomb Raider in stunning new Unreal Engine 5 game

TheTomb Raiderinspirations are clear, but there’s a futuristic edge to it, with weapons similar toCyberpunk 2077. There’s some preposterous silliness to the footage; our hero gets shot over ten times and doesn’t fall, though she’s probably going to need a tetanus shot. Everything seems to kick off and she slays wave after wave of gunners using some slickJohn Wickmovements.

The gritty feel of Tomb Raider is alive and well in The Grass of Genesis

11 minutes intothe trailerand it’s pretty clear whatThe Grass of Genesisis trying to accomplish. It’s a bonkers, but gorgeous, action game that throws out the rulebook. At this point, an enemy appears as a human and mech combo, or full robot, that soaks up bullets and starts launching explosives two feet away from the hero. How she’s still alive is honestly anyone’s guess.

It seems to be shaping up into a great little game, although the trailer seems to show most of its chaos in a prerendered engine. The game is slated to release in 2024, though it’s not up for preorder as yet. Hopefully, we’ll get some more news from the Hong Kong-based developers as time goes on, for now, you have a gloriously gratuitous trailer to enjoy.
