
One of theCyberpunk 2077developers has shared a heartfelt message of thanks to fans who didn’t ditch the game post-launch.
The release ofCyberpunk 2077has rightfully gone down in history as one of the biggest letdowns in gaming. After all the waiting, marketing and hype building the game failed to impress fans with its infestation of bugs and less-than-ideal graphics and gameplay.

Things improved slightly when the game launched onXboxSeries X/S andPlayStation5 thanks to the more powerful hardware, but the game was still a far cry from what was originally promised.
LuckilyCD Projekt Reddidn’t give up on the game, pouring hours of time,and $120,000, into fixing things with post-launch updates. They also eventually releasedCyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, an incredible DLC expansion that blew everyone away.
In aninterviewwith Neon Arcade, CD Projekt Red’s Quest Director Pawel Sasko thanked fans for sticking with the game throughout its hardships.

He described the disastrous launch as “heartbreaking,” which is putting it lightly. The launch of the game was so disappointing that the gameearned a spot in the New York Museum of Failures.
Nevertheless, Sasko was grateful for the support of the community, believing it fueled the team’s passion to fix the game. Sasko said: “Look at the reception ofCyberpunkright now, how it has turned … Look at the reviews, look at the videos, the discourse around the game. The fact that you guys come back to the game, play it again and have fun.”
He went on to say “I’m so glad that we kept going … I have incredible gratitude.”
It took a while, butCyberpunk 2077is finally the game it was always meant to be.
