I am about to venture into spoilers for a very early but important mission inCyberpunk 2077called ‘The Heist’. So consider this to be yourspoiler warning.
In ‘The Heist’, players are tasked with infiltrating the Konpeki Plaza with their best buddy Jackie. You must steal a valuable biochip from Yorinobu Arasaka, a dangerous and powerful leader of the Night City gang, the Steel Dragons.
However, the mission does not go according to plan and no matter how players approach the mission tactically or what dialogue choices they make, Jackie will die. This helped to set the tone ofCyberpunk 2077, warning players not to get emotionally attached to important NPCs.
