It is a sad day forCyberpunk 2077fans as, despite the news that CD Projekt Red was ceasing development on the RPG, we were hoping they might make an exception for the latest release.

Thanks to regular updates, patches and its award-nominatedPhantom Libertyexpansion,Cyberpunk 2077is now considered one of the best in the genre which makes this latest update all the more disappointing.

With Sony’s latest console, the PlayStation 5 Pro now out in the world and offering a lot more power than its base model, studios are regularly releasing patches to support the new release.

In response to a fanasking, “PS5 Pro patch and Black Friday sale so I can buy this game for the 3rd time?”

The officialCyberpunk 2077accountreplied: “We currently have no plans for a PS5 Pro patch.”

Although this is sad news, it is worth noting that the game is already in an incredible state and already runs at 60FPS on the PlayStation 5.

After all, the game has only been out for four years and is nowhere near desperate for a remaster.

However, fans still took to r/cyberpunkgame to share their thoughts about the news.

“Not at all surprising.

They’ve moved onto their next games and are just offering bare minimum support here,” the top commentread.

Another said: “Good, why waste a team’s time on a novelty product? Better to focus on upcoming projects.”

That is definitely what CDPR is doing with the developers being hard at work on bothCyberpunk 2andThe Witcher4.

I, for one, am glad that it is turning its attention to the future and not releasing a patch that is not needed in the slightest.
