Cyberpunk 2077 gets rad Superhot mod that leaves developer impressed

CD Projekt Red may have finally stopped updatingCyberpunk 2077but that doesn’t mean that its dedicated modding community has.

With thousands of mods available to download for free, it is doubtful thatCyberpunk 2077will ever run out of content.

For those who didn’t know,Superhotintroduced the mechanic of time stopping if the player themselves stopped and now this feature can be implemented inCD Projekt Red’sRPG.

“When you move, time moves. How fast you move determines how fast time moves,” the mod description reads.

“You can use the Cyberpunk engine tweaks to bind the controls to toggle this mode on and off.”

With the ability to toggle the feature on and off, it will add a whole lot more intensity to battles and it is hard not to notice how it mirrors the Sandevistan cyberware seen inCyberpunk 2077but even more so in the animatedshow,Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

The Sandevistan allowed protagonist David to slow down time and dodge bullets in order to flank enemies and that is very similar to how this mod works.

Not only that, but the mod is so impressive that it has caught the attention of an actualCyberpunk 2077developer.

Taking to Twitter, Philipp Weber, the narrative director at CD Projekt Red,said:

“That’s so cool to see!

Early in development we briefly workshopped a quest with similar mechanics.

You became a construct, essentially able to do millions of things at once, and this is how we simulated the full quest only taking a few seconds in ‘real time’.

Now someone did it!”
