“A live-action project set in the Cyberpunk universe will enable us to reach an even wider audience. We are happy to enlist the support of Anonymous Content – a highly experienced and renowned partner – in pursuing our ambitions,” said Michał Nowakowski, CCO and Board Member of CD Projekt in apress release.
Other than not knowing whether the Cyberpunk live-action production will be a series or movie, we don’t know when it will be released either. However, in arecentfinancial report, it’s implied that the production might not be released until at least 2025.
“In terms of the Cyberpunk IP, we’re going to be nurturing and developing it through activities going beyond the game as well - in the scope of the franchise flywheel that we have running. We’re not really discussing specifics here, but one of the directions we’ll be moving in next year is the project announced with Anonymous Content - but that’s not going to be the only thing. Again - more to come as we progress through 2024. It’s definitely not going to be quiet,” said Nowakowski.
Nowakowski teases other projects for next year and beyond. I for one will be hoping for a second season of Netflix’sCyberpunk: Edgerunners. As for the immediate future, fans can enjoyCyberpunk 2077on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
